Description
Amanda Weigel was diagnosed on June 15, 2017 with a brain stem glioma tumor. Amanda went through six weeks of radiation and one year of chemo. The treatment was able to shrink down the tumor in control it for the last six years with frequent MRI visits and appointments. Prior to Amanda’s August 9, 2023 MRI appointment, she was experiencing dizziness, nausea, and headaches. On August 9th, the MRI revealed a 14 mm, new growth, Astrocytoma tumor in her cerebellum. Amanda now has to do six weeks of radiation and one year of chemotherapy again, while being unable to work during this time. Currently, Amanda‘s husband, Drew, and her mom have been driving her to Madison every day for treatments.
Boos & Brews is a Bar Crawl Benefit looking to fundraise money to help Amanda get through the next year of treatments and lessen the financial burden caused by this diagnosis. T-Shirts can be ordered using this link, https://forms.gle/3wEGC6sZPfEzuko86
Payment can be made to Travis Klinkhammer prior to T-Shirt pick-up, or at T-Shirt pick-up on the day of the event.
The event will begin at Noon with check-in at Red & Debs. Participants can hop to Brothers, VFW, Nick’s and Public House.
There will be raffle prizes on display at Public House throughout the event (ending at 6pm), 50/50s at every participating bar and 52 card raffles at every bar as well. Adam Bartels Band will be playing at Public House from 5-7pm.
