Description
All are welcome to gather for creative camaraderie. Newcomers are always welcome as well as youth ages 12 and up. Each month a new project is planned with local artists introducing new materials and sharing techniques.
This is a friendly group with a wide variety of skill sets and interests- and a great group for beginners to get their feet wet with a variety of art styles!
In April, Sharon Stauffer will lead the group in creating mini-books. All you need is one sheet of paper and a pair of scissors to make a mini 8 or 16-page book!
You can use just about any sturdy paper, such as commercial scrapbooking paper, but Sharon will show you some easy mixed media painting techniques to create your own unique decorative papers out of ordinary copy paper. A variety of other papers will also be on hand as well as a limited supply of ribbons and embellishments. Make as many books as you like – it’s easy, quick and fun.
