Mine Day
Mine Day commemorates the anniversaries of the opening of the Mining Museum (1971) and the Bevans Mine (1976). Come celebrate their 1845 lead mine and its importance in our community with this classic family festival of history and bluegrass. Explore the mine in a new way with a scavenger hunt and stay for the backyard bluegrass music festival. In addition to the mine experience, blacksmithing and other mining related demonstrations will be taking place in the yard to give a more hands on experience with the processes of mining.
